Avocado
Yesterday, I made some avocado baby food. Jewell seemed to like the taste and texture of it. She held a spoon in each hand as I fed her with a different spoon. She kind of looked like she had bright green boogers all over her face by time she was done eating. Today, she seemed to like the avocados even more. :-)

Thanksgiving
Liz helped finish the deviled eggs because I was sick.
Jewell watched us cook in the kitchen.
Jewell's first Thanksgiving meal being fed to her by GiGi.
Liz helped finish the deviled eggs I had started the night before because I was sick. Plus, she made homemade mashed potatoes.
Can you tell that Daddy dressed Jewell this morning?
We had lunch with the Parr family at 12PM and dinner with the Gates family at 5PM.
Jewell especially loved the Parrs singing songs of thanks and praise together.
My beautiful happy girls at Aunt Laura's house for the Gate's Thanksgiving.
Here are the Poston grand kids. We tried to get Eva in it too, but she wouldn't join them.

Jump Up
Jewell played in her Jenny Jump Up today and liked it. We have put her in it a couple of times before and she has acted like it was torture. Since she is loving to stand and bounce while we support her right now, I thought I'd give it another try. She loved it for about 5 minutes. She is getting so strong. I think she will continue to like this.
I also took her out to the trampoline again. I have an adventuresome child. She loves to bounce on it. It is really fun now that she can bounce herself a little. The higher she goes the more she giggles. We keep her head stable and bounce her around.

Bouncer
Jewell's bouncer is certainly the best place for her to hang out when she's not in my arms. She still loves to wonder around with me and go outside, but she prefers the bouncer to just sitting still with one of us. She is getting so strong and loves to bounce in it, move anything that spins, and make music. It is great to see her get so excited in it.She just giggles and explores so much.

Huber's Family Fun Farm
Look! Jewell is riding a chicken like the ones we have at home!
Sunday, we met my family out at Huber's for lunch. It was a gorgeous fall day in the 70's. Papa, Grandma, Uncle Ben, Bob, Nellie, Eva, and Bobby met us there. It was fun to watch the kids play with the ducks and "ride" concrete animals.

New Food
You know your a mom when, your big plans for the day are feeding your kid a new food. I made Jewell some butternut squash baby food, and she tried it for the first time yesterday. I thought the look on her face was really funny. She's been eating bananas and loving them. She'll lung toward the spoon to get to the bananas. When she took a bite of the squash, she just looked at me like I was crazy. You could tell she had to be thinking, "What is this? It's not the good stuff I'm used to." She tried it again today. She didn't love it, but it seemed to be a little better. Hopefully, each new food will grow on her. I'm hoping Jewell will like a variety of foods and want to eat healthy with me.
